I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and have earned my certificate as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Several years ago, I was obese, unhealthy and unhappy. I had lived through a lifetime of bullying, had dealt with the emotional and mental strain of being obese, and had been through the constant yo-yo dieting and frankly was fed up. I felt like I was living on the sidelines of life. I chose to take control of my life; to live it, to participate in it, and not only enjoy it, but to live life to its fullest potential.

What I learned was I had to get tough and I had to get real with myself. Real with my food, which meant cutting out processed foods and harmful chemicals. Taking the time to prepare all my meals and eating whole, real foods. I had to get real with adding movement to my body; so I began by adding walking and kept growing from there. The most important lesson was that I had to get real with myself. There's powerful emotion around food for many of us. It's getting to that root of getting to know your triggers, your habits, what food is filling in for emotionally. I had to accept where I was in my journey at any time, and that if I slipped up- it was ok, I had to learn to love me and accept me for who I was, who I am, and who I am going to be along my journey. I lost 90lbs, but it was the emotional and mental weight that had weighed me down for so long that makes me feel lighter.

It's this passion that guided me to want to help others. To help make life changes, to help find their emotional triggers, to find their self-love and self-worth; not in food, but in themselves. I want to empower, guide, and help others to live their happiest, healthiest selves.

Have you ever dreamed of traveling the world or going back to school after having a child? Do you ever feel that it may never come to fruition? You might not know where it is you want life to take you or possibly where to even begin. Sometimes we may not even have a clear picture of what it is we want to do; or sometimes there are so many to choose from. Both are perfectly normal. That’s where I come in. Together we’ll navigate through those dreams and ideas and make clear pictures of your goals and then create doable action plans so you can start achieving those dreams!

60 mins

How would you feel if you could sit with someone you could talk to someone that really understands what you’re feeling physically and emotionally? Someone who has been there before? Someone who has walked a similar path before you and can help identify destructive eating patterns, negative body image issues, trigger areas around food, cravings and the emotions that tied up in food. Then help you create manageable plans that would address the challenges you face and be there for you as you go through your journey; to help keep you accountable to yourself and to work through the emotions of learning to love yourself as you are as you transform all areas of your health, while you re-balance yourself, gain confidence in learning to listen and trust your body and moving forward with your goals. That's exactly what I can do for you!

Working with a Health and Nutrition Coach is having someone there for you 1:1. I am there to help you achieve your health and wellness goals, to cheer you on, to provide guidance and support, empower you, motivate you, to give you that nudge when you need it and most importantly, to listen. As a Health Coach, I will be your biggest cheerleader so you will start to feel your best through your food and lifestyle changes. I want nothing more than to see you succeed!
